Inf. BSc. Inf. M. Sc. (c) D.E.S.S. MRT

Louis-Francois Fortin holds a Bachelor of Nursing degree as well as a diploma in nuclear medicine and a diploma in diagnostic radiology. He also holds a diploma in health services administration and is currently a candidate to receive a Masters in Health, majoring in human resources, at the Université de Montréal.

Mr. Fortin has worked in many nursing and diagnostic radiology fields. First, as a diagnostic radiology technician, he worked in a number of facilities in Northern Manitoba and Nunavut, as well as in isolated regions of Manitoba and Quebec. After receiving a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 2003, he broadened his professional experience working as a clinical nurse with the McGill University Health Centre, with Corrections Canada, and as a coordinator in a long term care facility (CHSLD) in the Greater Montreal area.

The experience of providing nursing and diagnostic radiology services in isolated areas of Manitoba and Nunavut has given Mr. Fortin valuable expertise in the conditions and consequences faced by those working in northern regions. His strength lies in human resources development, specifically in recruiting and placing health system professionals, as well as in human resources analysis and management.

Here at Multi Options Nursing Inc., Mr. Fortin supervises all aspects of recruiting health service personnel as well as the administration of working conditions and salaries. He is responsible for all client files and is in charge of finding replacement workers in James Bay, the Lower North Shore, the North Shore, Abitibi-Temiscamingue, Manicouagan, the Laurentians and Nunavik.
