| Main Duties and work requirements: A medical technologist is a person who in the field of medical biology is capable of analysing, testing and examining specimens that are taken from the human body. He ensures the technical validity of the results for diagnostic purposes, therapeutic monitoring or research. • Must have a Diploma of Collegial Studies completed in this area • Must be a member of the OPTMQ (l’Ordre Professionnel des Technologistes Médicaux du Québec) • Knowledge in Biochemistry (an asset) • Knowledge of Coagulation (an asset) • Knowledge of Haematology (an asset) • Knowledge of blood sample (an asset) • Knowledge of Blood Bank (an asset) • Knowledge in microbiology (an asset) • Know how to fill in the request and medical paperwork (an asset) • Functional English (an asset) Dates available URGENT: •May 17th to June 19th 2010 (URGENT) •June 10th to July 8th 2010 •June 7th to July 24th 2010 And other contracts are available that varies from 3 weeks to 3 months.
